Technology Licensed
A major developer of coal-to-liquids technology has taken a non-exclusive license to test ETCi's catalyst recovery technology.
MagMill LLC
The MagMill commercial demonstration unit is now operational and available for testing. Located on the site of the DTE Energy Services Petcoke Grinding facility in Vicksburg, MS, the unit is operated jointly by DTEES and MagMill LLC, a joint venture between NalcoMobotec and EXPORTech Company. Exhibits, Presentations and Publications
MagMill LLC presented results of the Vicksburg MagMill demonstration unit at the 2008 CoalGen meeting in Louisville, KY, in August and at the Pittsburgh Coal Conference in Pittsburgh, PA, in September. These papers are available for download on the publications and patents page.
Patents
A patent for continuous separation of slurries containing magnetic particles was issued on April 22, 2008 (US 7,360,657). A patent for combining an air jig with a dry magnetic separator where the separator processes the fines discarded by the air jig to improve the overall recovery was issued on May 6, 2008 (US 7,367,456).
Equipment for Sale
ETCi is dismantling its 200 lb/hour alpha prototype MagMill and is offering the components for sale. Items include two 3' conveyors (6"), a Sensidyne oxygen detection system for the baghouse; a Ramsey control system including sensors, integrators, load cell, and coupling, and a Clean Air Systems Model 203S-D1-SP Cyclone.
ETCi is also disposing some of its coal preparation and laboratory equipment.
Gaumer Process Feed Tank and Mixer (Heated Vessel, 460 V-3 phase, 150 psi at 500 oF) with a Lightnin Model XJC-30 top entering gear driven agitator). The tank is approximately 8 feet tall with a girth of 8.5 feet.
