Who We Are

EXPORTech Company, Inc. (ETCi) was founded in 1982 as a research company looking for practical innovative applications of magnet technology to the coal, industrial minerals and petrochemical industries.  EXPORTech no longer operates a research laboratory but is actively seeking joint ventures to commercialize its technologies.  EXPORTech owns the intellectual property including patents, pilot demonstration data, and engineering designs for a number of energy technologies designed to produce clean coal and fuels when integrated with third-party technologies. The company does not sell equipment.

ETCi's experience includes dry and wet magnetic separation of coal and fly ash, industrial minerals including kaolin clay and nickel, lunar materials brought back to Earth on the Apollo 11, 16 and 17 missions, Fischer-Tropsch catalyst separation, and fine particle and liquid-liquid separations using electrostatic and magnetostatic coalescence. The company holds 14 US patents and six foreign patents and has several patents pending.  Funding for ETCi's research has come from the Federal SBIR program and other competitive solicitations from the U.S. Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, NASA, the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority, the Western Pennsylvania Ben Franklin Challenge Grant program, the Electric Power Research Institute, electric utilities, coal companies, and a variety of other industrial clients.

As of August, 2014, the company is located in Palm Harbor, FL, in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area.
